Dan and his crew are an excellent group of people to work with. Honest , friendly, knowledgeable and the price was right smack in the middle of our ballpark. Job done professionally and in a timely manner. No unexpected extra work, and Dan even talked us out of work we didn't need where he could've made an easy dollar. Clean up was perfect as well.
Great company all around. Highly recommend!

I can’t say enough good things about Son of A Roofer! We recently took on a large renovation with a roof, new windows and siding. Choosing Son of a Roofer was the best decision we ever could have made. Tanner, Dan and Drew walked us through every step with patience, kindness and professionalism. Their crews did impeccable work and we are beyond happy with our “brand new house”! Thank you SO much Son of A Roofer - you guys are amazing!!

Tanner and his company son of a roofer recently replaced our roof and our gutters. They provided the most comprehensive estimate and did an excellent job completing the work in a timely and professional manner. Everything was absolutely perfect. We have already received compliments from our neighbors. And have already shared Tanner’s contact info with a family member who is considering a new roof replacement. We highly recommend son of a roofer for all your roof and gutter needs. They were a pleasure to deal with and we are beyond satisfied. Thank you. The Zarrella family.

Son of a Roofer is a rare find these days and Tanner is a consummate professional whom I would not hesitate to recommend for your roofing, siding or gutter projects because it's been a true pleasure working with Tanner on our house project.

Tanner was very accommodating and patient with us throughout a somewhat extended initial process of selecting materials, colors, etc; he was always accessible, offering timely and candid feedback, updates and suggestions. Any issues that came up were addressed promptly, professionally and fairly.

As the owner of the company, Tanner is a rare example of someone who genuinely cares about and takes great pride in his work, his team and his relationships with customers.

I cannot praise the guys at Son of A Roofer enough. Initially, Dan showed up at our home to estimate and both my husband and I liked him right on the spot. That never happens. Dan was honest, professional and polite. His suspicions of my problem were confirmed when they ripped up my old roof. His communication through every step of my roof replacement was great.
The workers were awesome as well. They were professional and were neat while working. Thorough clean up.
Their pricing was comparable to the other estimates we received. All around, they made a bad situation very stress free to rectify.
I would definitely recommend them!

I am so happy that we found Dan and his company - Son of A Roofer to install our new roof. From the rip off of the old roof and removal of old skylights to the install of the new, they were perfect, very professional and very neat. Drew was the foreman who was onsite throughout the job answering any of our questions. They made what I assume is normally a very chaotic and stressful event into a very pleasant one. They finished the job ahead of the promised time, and then spent the next day cleaning anything missed and perfecting the inside look of the skylights- caulking and installing moulding. This company is so professional and deliver everything promised. I am in awe
of the great job they did for us.
I would highly recommend Son of Roofer for any roofing needs you may have.
Thank you.

My mom had some bad work done so I called Son of a Roofer. He answered right away and went out to look at the work. Even though he couldn’t help her he pointed her in the right direction. Found amazing guys that fixed the job for $25,000 LESS than the bad roofer. If he was not willing to look she never would have looked for this other type of roof. Honest and helpful. Can’t ask for more. Thank you!!!

Son of a Roofer replaced all of the gutters and downspouts on my house. The job was completed in less than a day. They cleaned up and you would not have known they had been on the site.

Mr. Tanner Ferrara was very professional and provided a written estimate with the costs and specifics in regard to the materials. This was different from some other estimates which were extremely high and kept being lowered after they heard we were still looking.

I would highly recommend Son of a Roofer.

We had a great experience with Son of a Roofer. They responded quickly to our initial request for a quote and were able to come out the very same day to assess the work. We received the estimate within just a few hours, and once we signed the contract, they scheduled and completed the job within the week.
They installed new gutters and completed roof repairs, and the quality of their work was excellent. Tanner was especially helpful throughout the process—knowledgeable, professional, and happy to answer any questions we had. The entire experience was smooth, efficient, and stress-free. We would definitely recommend Son of a Roofer to anyone looking for reliable roofing services.

I highly recommend Son of a Roofer. Dan and Drew provided excellent customer service from start to finish. They are easy to get in touch with and always had detailed answers for all my questions.

I had 5 different estimates for roofs and not only were they the most competitively priced, but for that price i was able to get superior products like UHDZ shingles and 25 year gold pledge warranty. Their quote was very transparent as it is broken down to specific products and how/where they would be used. All of this made it an objectively easy choice and ultimately the end result came out perfect.

some other notable positive things - they were punctual, hard working, professional, respectful, and cleaned up as if they were never there.

i cannot think of anything that did not meet or exceed my expectations.

If I could give Son of a Roofer more than 5 stars, I would — without hesitation. From the very first conversation to the final cleanup, this company knocked it out of the park. No pressure, no runaround — just honest, responsive communication that made the entire process feel easy and stress-free. They genuinely made me feel confident in my decision every step of the way.

The crew that came out was on time, professional, and treated my property with real respect. The roof looks absolutely fantastic, and they left the place spotless. You'd never even know they were there — except for the beautiful new roof overhead.

If you're looking for a roofing company you can actually trust, stop searching. Son of a Roofer is the real deal. Best choice I've made for my home, and I'd recommend them to anyone and everyone without a second thought.

Thank you again, Dan, Drew & Charlie for making this seamless.

Son of a Roofer just finished replacing my entire roof and new gutters and quite honestly, we couldn’t be happier. When we were searching for a roofing company a neighbor recommended S.O.A.R. I fully expected a canned recording when I called for the estimate, but Tanner, the company owner answered on the 2nd ring. A day later him and his associate Dan were sitting in my kitchen giving us an incredible estimate. Six days later his professional crew was working on my roof.
Every single person working on my job knew what their specific task was and they operated like a well oiled machine.
Incredibly happy with my new GAF roof and equally happy with my new gutters (which were made to order on site). The clean up was meticulous, not missing a single nail or piece of shingle. Our neighbor even mentioned what she saw them do. A magnet, they even scanned the grass areas around my house with a magnet, capturing every stray nail.
We HIGHLY recommend S.O.A.R. Their honesty and integrity is what their business is built on and it’s genuine. You can bank on that.

I called Son of a Roofer expecting to leave a message but Tanner picked up immediately. I explained the issue I was having and he said they come take a look. Not only did Tanner text me before they came, he gave me options and a breakdown for each option. Dan followed up to schedule and last night Drew texted to tell me the start time for today’s job.

The crew were here when they said they’d be and were friendly, professional and extremely efficient and very neat!

Drew was onsite the entire time and updated me throughout the process.

It is rare when you find a business where you actually speak to someone who shows up and completes the job as stated without any hidden cost. Not that I’m looking forward to another roof/window/gutter repair but I will certainly call Son of a Roofer for all of those needs.

Honest, fair, friendly, reliable. How could you go wrong?

Our new roof looks FANTASTIC thanks to Tanner, Dan, Charlie & their AMAZING crew! Tanner & Dan, the owners, stopped by & explained every detail to us. We were so impressed with their knowledge & the kindness that they showed us while answering our questions...we hired them on the spot. Our old roof was in very bad shape & the crew worked hard & finished it in 1 day. They don't mess around!! They left the yard immaculate after. I ,also, want to mention that there is an excellent warranty that comes with the new roof shingles that is transferable if you decide to sell your home. We love our new roof & the entire experience was PERFECT! We highly recommend Son of a Roofer!!
Thank you so much,

Did a lot of research got quotes that were much higher and double so be weary of some salesmen but Tanner and team were great! True craftsmen who replaced and fixed the needed areas plus all new 6 inch gutters. Although this company has a new name it’s basically the same product and crew that has done most of the homes in the Manalapan area for the past 40 yrs. I knew I had some damaged areas under shingles and wasn’t charged more for the extra work needed besides materials to get it back in shape. Also, super neat and clean roofs are messy to tear off. You don’t see many contractors anymore that are willing to do the right job for the right price but this is one of them.

Tanner and Dan were really incredible! They’ve been in the business long before starting this company. They have relationships with installation crews that have been doing roofs for over a decade if not more. The quality and workmanship are there. The pricing was extremely competitive too. I had 4 companies come out to look at the roof and giving pricing. Tanner & Dan were even with 2 others well know and largely hired companies. Along with the competitive pricing and quality tradesmanship, Tanner & Dan were transparent, communicative and patient (no uncomfortable salesman games), making us feel comfortable from start to finish with zero surprises. Being an engineer and estimator in the construction field, any roof can look great, but is it functional and does it hold up to the harsh weather? Everything I seen from Son of a Roofer points to yes! They do not cut corners. What they tell you you’re going to get, is what you get. Great overall experience and will soon be a major player in the roofing business, if not already.

What a wonderful experience using Son of a Roofer!
Prices were beyond competitive and zero pressure.
Everything was explained ahead of time and many choices of samples for colors, ect, were supplied. Fortunately, I was even able to drive by neighboring homes whose roofs were replaced by this company so I was immediately impressed with the quality of their work.
The job was on time, workers were so neat you couldn't tell they were there. I loved the work quality, ethic, and price so much that I immediately after had them replace my gutters.
Highly recommend; theyexceeded all expectations with a very competitive price, especially with the many discounts they provided.
They made a dreaded job simple!

Great job. Had several folks quote roof replacement for 1930ish house. Dan’s familiarity with dated construction methods allowed him to accurately scope the job and complete it without issue. Competing proposals from other roofers were incomplete and would likely have led to either an inferior result or day-of-job up charges and delays. We are very happy with the project and the manner in which it was proposed and executed.

Needed a repair rather than a full roof replacement, and the experience was excellent from start to finish. Dan showed up on time, clearly explained the issue, and completed the repair efficiently without trying to upsell. The quality of the fix looks solid and professional, and everything was left clean and tidy afterward. Honest, reliable, and easy to work with. I would absolutely call them again for any future roofing needs.

Tanner and Dan from Son of a Roofer recently did my parents’ roof with the Onyx Black Owens Corning shingles, and they were fantastic. They were professional, punctual, and left the property spotless after finishing the job. The roof looks amazing, and the whole process was stress-free. 10/10 recommend them for any roofing project!

I would not hesitate to use Tanner and his crew of roofers. It's no wonder when you consider he grew up learning the business from his father. Make no mistake, the price, scheduling, services, clean-up -- everything about the job was perfect from roof, to skylights to vent fan installation!

Tanner, Dan, and the entire team were an absolute pleasure to work with for our roof replacement. You can tell from every step of the way that this is a genuine group of people who really care not only about their customers but also about the roofing industry as a whole. They are extremely and impressively knowledgeable and more importantly, especially honest, transparent, and approachable. They answered my unlimited amount of questions with thorough and detailed explanations. The roof replacement with GAF Timberline HDZ Architectural Shingles was very efficient and effective with no hiccups and no shortcuts. Lastly the whole package they offered for the price they charged was extremely competitive and reasonable, not to mention the amazing SILVER PLEDGE GAF MANUFACTURER BACKED Warranty that was included. Thanks again Son of A Roofer. My family and I are so happy to work with you and would gladly recommend you to anyone else looking for roof inspections, repairs, and replacement.

Responded immediately to assess vinyl siding after a broken pipe caused heavy damage. From start to finish, Tanner and his crew were professional and timely. They left the area spotless when the job was done. We highly recommend Son of a Roofer for siding repairs, roofing or exterior work...won't be disappointed.

I just had a new roof installed by Son Of A Roofer and it looks fantastic! Beginning with the initial consultation to the final inspection, Tanner & Dan did what they said they would do. Now I have complete protection with my new GAF roofing system which includes a 50-year warranty, pricing that was competitive and most important, Peace of Mind when the job was done.
The roof technician team treated my home with respect & dignity. This was reflected in the incredible quality of work and the perfect clean up when the job was completed.
Son Of A Roofer provided superior results and completed the job in the time frame that they mentioned during the consultation.
I highly recommend them to anyone who needs roof repairs or a new roof.

I had Son of a Roofer replace the roof on my backyard cabana, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Dan and Tanner were an absolute pleasure to work with—professional, communicative, and genuinely committed to quality. The job was done neatly, on time, and at a very reasonable price. The craftsmanship speaks for itself, and the whole experience was smooth from start to finish. I’ll definitely be calling them back when it’s time to do the roof on my house. Highly recommend!

As a kid I remember my Father saying he was working to keep a roof over our heads. We unexpectedly got a letter from our homeowners insurance that our roof was at end of life. From the ground it looked good. Apparently they were using drones. I called a few friends for recommendations and both recommended Son of a Roofer. Tanner and Dan gave us a reasonable estimate and got us right on the schedule. The work crew was early, neat, friendly and did a great job.
